The Occupation Forces project is an augmented reality experience, via iPhone app, of an alien
invasion our public space. The project mixes alien invasion mythology with contemporary
images of a foreign troops' occupation. Here the aliens attempt and fail at controlling a stylized
consumer society as people go about their daily business.

This is documentation of Occupation Forces, a large scale, city wide augmented
reality at the Intermedia Festival in Indianapolis. This looks to be the 1st
large scale augmented reality on the iPhone using AR toolworks iPhone software.
The event took place April 23-25, 2010. The Occupation Forces also just showed
in Bilbao, Spain 15th & 16th of April, 2010 [documentation coming].

The work mixes computer generated 3d graphics with the iPhones video camera.
The 3d graphics create figures who are able to move about and interact with our
